Guur & Kou is De Molen's antwoord op de herfst en winter. Door het toevoegen van jeneverbes en zoethout krijgt deze mond verwarmende Scottish Ale een licht kruidig karakter met aroma's van karamel en laurier. Perfect voor de donkere dagen. Smaakindicatie: licht kruidig, karamel, verwarmend.

33cl bottle. A clear orange brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of dark caramelized malt, bitter hops, red fruits. Taste of dark and strong red malt, caramel, nuts, red fruits. Moderate to long bitter finish.

Bottled 330ml (AIH147)
Nut brown colour, small off-white head. Caramalt dominates the flavour. Light-bodied - quite light for its ABV. Caramel, hints of berries, nuttyness, touch of alcohol. Simple.

Bottle shared with Inoven and Dutchdrebus. Nice autumnal red color, average sized off-white head. Aroma and flavor are malts, caramel, slightly leather, caramalts, caramelized sugars. I really like this style and this beer. Lovely.

Flesje gedeeld door Benzai. Amberkleurig bier met grof schuim. Weinig aroma. Smaak is houtig en fruitig van donker fruit. Smaak ebt snel weg.

Clear brown colour with thin head. The fruity element of the juniper can be detected in aroma and taste. Lots of dark malt too. Malt sweetness at first which grows into something close to mild coffee bitterness. Nice body. Well balanced.

Bottle. Pours dark amber with thin head. Bit peated nose. Roasted malt. Tastes sweetish, peat, liquorice, bit dry mouthfeel, can't really feel juniper. Very nice though.

Bottle. Malty aroma and taste, caramel, light roasty notes, liquorice in taste, juniper notes light sweet, medium bitter. Medium to full body, malty caramel bitter sweet finish. Good.

Clear, dark amber color and an off-white head. Nose is malty, boozy, raisins, caramel. Taste is malty, vanilla, herbal, licorice, caramel. Bitter hoppy, rather short, bitter finish.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 28.07.2022) im 2021-09 getrunken. Die dunkelbraune Ale kommt in einer Kombination aus Malzaromen und Hopfenbitterkeit davor. Mir ist Hopfenbitterkeit etwas zu unausgewogen wo die Karamellaromen zu leicht sind. Kein schlechtes Ale!
