From a 355ml bottle on 24/6/2016. Pours a clear lightish golden with a medium head. The nose is bready, fruity and touch herbal. Take a sip and there’s a good dose caramel and biscuity malt, heaps of sweet fruit (orange, peach, pear), and honey, followed by some big lingering, resiny hops. The texture is quite syrupy and the carbonation modest. A very nice DIPA. I think I prefer the Dirt Wolf, but only just.

Bottle. Clear golden color with white head. Aroma is sweet fruits, pineapple, apricots, sticky hops. Taste is sweet fruits, tropical, peach, pineapple, peach, apricots, some residual sweetness, pink grapefruit tones as well, sweet finish. Surprisingly pale for this strength, and not very bitter. Not bad though.

Bottle, more than a month in date. Pale gold with a white head. Lots of bubbles. Aroma of grapefruit, pineapple, mandarins. Quite sweet with peach and mango joining the other fruit. Plain hayish malt does little. Moderate bitterness as the fruit tails off. Some herbal and pine notes towards the end too. Presumably this has faded but it’s certainly hoppy. Rather dull though.

Bottle pour into shaker pint glass from Julio’s Liquors. Aroma is pineapple/tropical fruits and citrus, faint pine/spruce and corn chip. Appearance is slightly hazy greenish yellow with fluffy white head with decent retention, beautiful sparkle and nice sudsy lacing. Taste is moderately sweet pineapple/tropical fruits dominating with late mild bitterness. Palate is medium bodied with sticky texture, lively carbonation and mix of sweet and bitter finish. Overall, superior complexity of aroma and appearance with above average taste and palate.
