Figgy Pudding is an English-style barleywine brewed with black strap molasses and a blend of English pale and specialty malts. Extended maturation in freshly-emptied brandy barrels and gentle spicing with Ceylon cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice infuses this complex sipper with warming holiday flavors.

500ml bottle, 2025 vintage, thanks Craig & Sarah! Cinnamon aroma with notes of molasses, fig, nutmeg, clove, brandy and oak. Pours dark brown with half a finger of tan head that has some retention and a ring of lacing. Starts with fig, molasses, clove and cinnamon flavors as well as having a rich, full body and smooth mouthfeel. Finishes quite smooth but a bit dry with nutmeg, brandy and oak flavors. Very festive barleywine!

On tap. Pours a dark brown with light head. Aromas of dark fruit, sour dough and bready malts. Flavors of figs. Lots of figs. Plus more more of that slightly sour fruit/dough. Big. Nice enough.

Tap. Brown color with small tan ring. Aroma is tobacco, oak sugar, molasses, raisins. Taste is raisins, lots of oak sugar, brandy burn. Medium carbonation. Quite sweet, a bit too unbalanced. Not excellent.
