Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 09, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear medium yellow / orange amber color with a average, frothy to creamy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruity, moderate hoppy, green grass. Flavor is moderate sweet and sour bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. Cask at the Wenlock Arms on 19th Sept 2009. Amber with lasting frothy white head giving fair amount of lacing. Doughy yeast aroma. Sharp bitter lick then citrus finish which is short lived. Although on bland side it does very well for only 2.8% ABV.

Cask@GBBF2009. Deeo golden colour, small white head. Aroma is peas, cooked vegetables, some wood and fruits. Flavour is the same. Horror.

Cask@GBBF 2009. Copper color, small off-white head. Sweaty hoppy pineapple aroma. Watery palate. Some grassy-fruity hoppyness. Good amount of flavor for 2.8% beer. Light lingering bitterness in the aftertaste.

Cask gravity at Kingston BF 2007. Another one of the Roger Protz’s beers to try before you die. Copper colour with thin bubbly beige head. Bit undeveloped, raw malt/yeast on aroma. Some fruit. Fine in mouth. Fairly typical UK bitter. Some hop floral on end. Decent bitterness. Almost a bit of chlorine to the hoppiness. Far more bitter than I would expect.
