Irish Stout

Bottle at home. Aroma is dark malt, sourish cold coffee, moderate roast, touch of cocoa. Flavour is slightly sourish and light bitter. Body is light, watery, way overcarbonated. Like a ’Stout extract’, it’s so weak and watery.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle, best before September 2016, from ’Saveur Bière’ as a free gift, shared at Best Western Woerden. Dark brown to black with a beige head. Sweetish, slightly roasty aroma of coffee, dark chocolate and some dark fruits. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty taste of dark chocolate, coffee and dark fruits, followed by a short, slightly roasty-bitter finish. Thin to medium body, rather effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Okay!

Bottle shared at hotelroom tasting after Borefts Beer Festival Day 1. Dark brown to black color, medium sized fizzy brown head that diminishes quickly. Smell and taste malts, weird green plant-like flavors, a bit metallic and quite earthy. Pretty crappy, at least I quite dislike it.
