Handpull cask at the Salmon, Leicester. Mid- to dark brown and quite translucent with a tight off-white/beige head. Chocolate, roasted malts, some Robusta coffee in the aroma. Sweet, rich taste with more chocolate notes fading to a sweet finish. Nothing too complex about this, but it doesn't need to be. Sexy mid-strength porter.

Bottle online from The Natural Grocery Store. Pours a very dark brown almost black (cola) colour with a medium sized creamy beige head. Aromas of dark fruits, a touch of chocolate and just a hint of roasted malts. Taste is more dark fruits and milk chocolate with a touch roasty but also sweet finish. Nicely balanced. Quite a nice beer and the best i have tried from this brewery.
