This can’t be a tick?! Can. Waitrose. Just clear deep gold. Slim bubbly sticky lasting slightly creamy white foam. Looks boss. Nose has creamy semi sweet malt. Resin and citrus peel. Some flora and light leafy herb. Taste is well balanced bitter and sweet. Drinks mighty easy. Good depth of bitterness to finish. Great beer and an unexpected tick, too.

First time having their PA in years, and maybe the first time having this version but probably not (it's common in a lot of dive bars in Wisconsin). Ever so slightly sweeter than the original, and definitely a bit softer mouthfeel. Still a beautiful beer.

Heller Bernstein im Glas (also nicht so richtig pale). Auch beim Geschmack geht man eigene Wege. Bei den meisten aktuellen Pale Ales bekommt man viel Grapefruit, plus einen Obstkorb anderer exotischer Früchte und Bitternoten hart an der Grenze des Erträglichen. Hier ist das alles auch erkennbar, aber dann doch nur eine Randnotiz. Malz, Sherry, Trockenobst und eine florale Note stehen viel stärker im Vordergrund. Schön weich und für nur 5,0 % Alk. durchaus vollmundig. Gefällt mir.
