On tap at Luppolo 12, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of roasted malt, woody notes, and some nice hops to balance. Flavour is rich, with big roasted malt, woody notes, and a healthy hop dosage. Wonderful balance, lots of roast, and surprisingly drinkable. Excellent.

On tap at il punto. Pours black with a small white head. Aroma is dark malts, chocolate, coffee, vanilla. Big body. Flavour is malty, intense dark malt profile. Lots of chocolate, coffee, vanilla, sweet caramel and molasses. A classic impy, on the sweet side, really good.

Bottle @ Il Birraiuolo, Naples. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy dark tan head. Clear aroma of alcohol, with notes of chocolate, malt and perfume. Bitter, roasty, boozy and nutty flavour with notes of yeast and malt and touches of lactose. Boozy aftertaste with estery notes. Not downright bad but rather boozy, even for all my love for the style.

0,33 l bottle. Thanks, Vran and Crni, for sharing. Black with an orange tint, small beige head. Malts, molasses, syrup, brown bread, dried fruit, roasty notes and alcohol. The flavour starts off phenolic - plastic and spicy, roasty, slightly burnt, alcohol present, fruity, soft oxidation and a sweet taste. Oily, slick, strong, warming, medium to full body. Quite sweet, not spectacular.
