Bottle from the brewery. Hazy brown, thin, tan head. Aroma of candied date, rum-soaked raisin, banana, wet cinnamon, liqueur, oxidised sherry, caramel, dark honey. Taste has very sweet raisin, candied plum & dried orange peel in a brown-sugary, brioche-like malt body with some bitter green tea & spicy cinnamon for balance. Soft herbal hops in the finish, quickly dominated again by dried fruits, bittersweet orange peel and hefty liqueur-like alcohol. Full body, syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Eisbocks tend to be hit or miss but this one was certainly successful, even despite my doubts about the base beer's style.

27/4/2024. Bottle shared at fonefan Ulfborg tasting. Pours clear dark amber with minimal head. Aroma is toffee, bready, dried fruits, musty wood, hint of polythene. Quite syrupy sweet with medium bitterness. Full bodied, sticky, low carbonation. Warming boozy finish. Bit heavy going.

ABV: 12.5%. Clear medium red amber colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, sweet malt, bread, dried fruit, smoke touch. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, caramel, sweet malt, dried fruit. smoke - medicine touch. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is warming and moderate alcoholic. [20240427]

Bottle @Ulfborg. Clear amber, offwhite head. Caramely aroma, some woody notes, slightly phenolic but not bad. Sweet flavour, caramely, syrupy. Solid alc heat.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Small head with short duration. Color is brown. Aroma and taste are malt, wood, caramel, alcohol, fruits and has a warming finish.
