Can. Very disappointed in this one. Clear dark gold with a medium head. Aroma is grains and not much else. The taste is just pure bitter nastiness. Really didn’t like it.

On tap at Terrapin, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp grassiness and crisp crackery malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with crisp grassy hops, a touch of herbal crunch, and a crisp crackery malt. Crisp and punchy. Good stuff.

Ever so slightly hazy golden and light neon yellow coloured body with a good, two to three centimetre tall, relatively soapy off-white head on top. Aroma of hay, grass, yeast, coriander seed, a light amount of curacao and full oranges and a dose of grain and funk near the end. Light-bodied; Sharp flavour of corn, grain, white wine, vinifera grapes, alcohol and a pungent off-putting malt flavour that drives everything else along with a mellow biscuit note and a touch of sugars at the end. Aftertaste is deep and unrefined with a bit of the malt ocming through, but not much else - grain, alcohol and some sugars. Overall, a grassy and dry beer throughout with some funk and fruity flavours that show well and lead to some other nice complexities. I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Harris Teeter in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 15-November-2017 for US$8,99/full six pack, sampled at home in Washington on 13-January-2017 while in the midst of the winter cold here in Washington. a

This is a damn good authentic pils, and I certainly never thought Terrapin would make a lager like this! Pale golden, pleasing hop nose, a little catty and grassy, hint of dank, but still mildly stated. Very clean, crisp, crackery malt, but not empty in the palate, solid hop bittering. Straight up.

Can. Crackery malt, lemon, minerals, herbal hops in the nose. Pale yellow color. Prickly hop flavor, lemon, peppery. Crisp and nice. Good for an American take on the style.
