1/3 pint, gravicask shared with Finn at GBBF Winter '23. Bubbles on the surface of a clear amber body, rings of lace down the glass. Promising smell of herbal hops and earthy malts. Quite well rounded taste character of toffee, mild citrus and a resinous note towards a malt-fruity ending. Decent. (Burton upon Trent 16.02.2023).

Cask at Roebuck, Burton on Trent (no connection). Pours a bright golden amber with a small foamy white head and good lacing. Bit of a vague aroma for this one – just some hints of marmalade. In the mouth it is bitter and hoppy with traditional style hops all over it. It’s sharp and tangy too with hints of oranges and ginger. Finish has a slight bitterness. This is very good indeed.
