We like to call this one Sunshine In a Glass … or Sunshine In Your Belly because it won’t stay in that glass long. Our Citra® IPA is designed to be light and bright in both color and body. Your first sniff will elicit images of tropical fruit and citrus thanks to a healthy dose of Citra® hops. Enjoy a pint of this and you might just find yourself gazing skyward, pondering how in the heck sunshine made its way into your glass.

473ml can. Minimally milky, orange, dark golden colour with average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Slightly perfumed, citrusy fruity and minimally piney, hoppy aroma, biscuity, pale malty background, notes of lemon, lemon peel, some lemongrass. Taste is dry, citrusy fruity and minimally piney hoppy, pale malty basis with low residual sweetness, notes of lemon, lemon peel, some zesty bitterness, minimally mineral overtones. Watery texture, dry palate, medium, soft carbonation. Crisp, clean and simple - good.

Can. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has earthy citrus with a rind bitterness and a touch of sweet grain supporting. Flavor has a nice bitter citrus throughout with a bit of grass, bitter rind and light mango and underlying.

Bright amber, mellow...basically has a light body, easy going non-uric Citra character and chill pale malts.

Draught at the brewery, 11/7/15.
This one surprised me, as A) I think citra is overused B) I think citra is oftentimes poorly used and C) I don’t really like citra that much. Instead of a big borderline cat piss and beat you over the head lemony-grapefruit character, it’s quite low on bitterness, with more of a mosaic-like earthy/leafiness. Pale malt sweetness keeps things in check nicely, but in turn evaporates on the finish leaving a very bright, tangerine and meyer lemon character lingering. No alcohol nor flaw. Herbal hop notes noted as well. Ample, mostly tight carbonation keeps things drinkable, as well.
