Tap at Hoppzak. Black with tan head. Dark chocolate, soft whisky, vanilla, sour berries, earthy, cocoa husks. Medium sweet and bitter, very light sour. Over medium bodied. Nice!

Black with a firm tan cap. Light roasted malts, chocolate, oak, whiskey, earth, sweet dried fruit, molasses. Full, frothy mouth that’s smooth but not oily or syrupy. Finish has some burnt malt and a thick bit of sweet leaning dark chocolate. Very nice, oh yes.

Bottle from BiervanEijk, Frederiksoord. Aroma is cocoa, chocolate, roasted malt, soft whiskey, some coffee, hint of vanilla and liquorice. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a mild bitterness. Above medium body. Smooth, drinkable and well-rounded. What's not to like?

Dark roasted malty aroma and taste, notes of liquorice and chocolate, some spice, dark caramel, subtle hoppy undertones, medium plus body, some vanilla and whisky washed wooden accents into the dry roasted malty finish. Good stuff.

330ml can from Flavourly. Black pour with beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, whisky, oak, coffee, cacao; inviting. Taste has the whisky and oak in the forefront with caramel, coffee, chocolate, sweetness. The roasted element of the malts gets a bit lost but its very tasty and there is enough bitterness to balance the sweetness. Very good.

Almost black beer with a beige head. Aroma of mid sweet dark malt, caramel, toffee, vanilla, some oak. Taste of sweet strong dark malt, toffee, caramel, chocolate, wood.
