28/VII/24 - 50cl bottle from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ Ardennes Holiday, BB: 13/II/28, batch: B646 (2024-627)

Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, pretty stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: lovely stuff, a bit oxidized, soft roast, malty, more good roast, very nice! MF: ok carbon, medium to full body, creamy texture. Taste: soft roast up front, nice chocolate notes, good stuff, malty touch, more alcohol, a little sweet, slightly oxidized, nice stuff going on here! Aftertaste: grains, coffee notes, good bitter roast, whisky, lots of caramel, some vanilla, more dark chocolate, lovely beer, very nice, really love it!

Bottle from Khoury's. They had another couple on tap too. Stemless back at the hotel room. Opaque, dark brown on black, cookie creme head. Mild coffee, slight fat smoke, vanilla, acidy-sweet whisky nose. Lovely texture, silky, low carb, faint astringency on the finish. Bittersweet leaning sweet, sweet charcoal, wood pith, burnt marshmallow, very slight meat smoke, texture & ample off-dry malt, toasty vanilla, bite-y whiskey but not very hot. Lovely once it warms up a touch. Drank the whole bottle without a thought to my next round.

500ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, Jan 24. Pours dark, good beige collar. Prominent whisky influence on the nose alongside a robust roast presence. Continues to taste, excellent dark malt shades, molasses.. comes together well.

8th January 2024, Shrewsbury Beer Share in Chez Sophie, five guys and loads of beers! I brought this 500ml capped and waxed 500ml bottle: BB 17th January 2026. Beige crust on a black body. Really enjoyed this, good whiskey undertone below a malty and chocolatey base. Boozy and warming, very pleasant all round.

Quite impressive. Tastes like so much more, if it’s really 7.5, wow. Bold boozy and robust. I expected 10+% . Gollem amstelstraat
