8/2/12 - 500ml bottle. Refreshing blonde, but a little thin on the body. Would recommend as a summer drink.

On tap @ Ghillie Dhu, Edinburgh. Pours golden with a decent head. The nose has pale malt, some honey and just a hint of fruit, perhaps apples. The taste has more of the same but the malt is definitely more prominent. The palate has a medium body and texture with a not quite clean finish. Overall, decent but not worth getting another.

April 2010: Wasnβt too sure what to expect from this 500ml brown bottle of βBlondeβ. I poured the beer (in three instalments) into my Veltins Pilsner stemmed tulip glass. The beer was a clear golden blonde, a slightly deeper gold than a typical lager, but with the same sort of pure white head. The smell was of hops, as was the main taste and it was obvious from the first sip and smell it wasnβt a lager based beer, but an ale of some sort. The malted wheat gave the beer a flowery feel and a floral flavour, very summery. The bottle asked for the beer to be served chilled, it was. All in all a pleasant beer.

Bottle from CO-OP. It pours golden yellow, with a thin foamy white head. The nose is grass, lemon, dough and metal. The taste is sweet malt, lemon, tangy lime, grass, white sugar, white bread and hay, with a light bitter finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and decent balance. Not bad.

Cask (handpump) @ Halfway House, 24 Fleshmarket Close, Edinburgh, Scotland EH1 1BX.Clear medium yellow orange color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, citrus peel bitter, citrus sour - acidic notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100205]

500ml bottle. Pours bright amber with a medium head. Aroma is sharp floral and some grassy hops. Hint of butter, maybe. Floral to start, with a small amount of honey sweetness. Low bitter finish. Nice and full in the mouth.

Scotish ale. A: light foam, goldish colored S: fragrant smell of hops, yest and citrus T: fragrant taste of hops, yest and citrus AT: No aftertaste at all A bit meaningless ale, to littel taste and body.
