50cl bottle courtesy of Ben @ RBBSG II. BB 30-06-2014, batch 537.

Courtesy of Ben. Thx! 50 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBSG II. BBF 30.06.2014. Pours an almost clear orange with a white head. Nose is mellow and fruit sweet with passion fruit, oranges, flowers, sugar,…. Taste is bitter passion fruit, oranges, light fructose sugar, light grass, biscuits and citrus,… Mellow and lesser carb. body. More UK than USA. Very easy to drink and very yummy beers. A nice one, Arran has apparently more than only excellent whiskey.

500ml for just 6-700 yen, so well worth checking out. 5.5% It pours a clear gold with a fluffy white head. The aroma is citrus fruit with pine notes. This IPA has a nice flavor with the bitter pine well balanced by some zesty citrus fruitiness & a solid malt base which was surprising considering the light color of this beer. The slightly low ABV makes it a nice sessionable IPA, good stuff.

Bottle at Tom’s house. Hazy golden body with a medium white head. Steady carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of straw, grass, caramel and pine. Flavour of grassy, biscuit and faint sweetcorn. A tad cheesy. Slightly metallic finish. The 5.5% ABV is well hidden. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Not as hoppy as I was hoping for. More of a Golden Ale than an IPA.
