Cask at the Archibald Simpson, Aberdeen, 21/06/14. Very lightly hazed golden with a well appointed eggshell white head. Nose is light citrics, wheaten bread, orange floral notes, melon, a little thin but inoffensive. Taste comprises satsuma, light bread dough, lemon rind, subtle hop notes, melon, tangerine. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, semi drying close. Ok GB with a decent citrus rinse.

Duft av appelsin og honning. Dunkel gulbrun farge. Tynt dekkende skum, heng langs kant. God smak av appelsin med en ettersmak av honning og noe syrlig ettersmak av furu barnåler. Kjøpt inn under navnet Atlas Wayfarer.

500ml Bottle: BBD end of Feb 15, poured twice into a half-pint countryman glass tankard at home on 29th Dec 13. A slight haze in my golden bodied beer, the white head tried to stay the distance and almost made it, carbonation bubbles rose throughout the 500ml. A little too citrusy and raw for my palate, piny feel as well, but those lemon flavours did for me. The malts were not strong enough to give any sweetness to the brew and that allowed the hops ’free range’ to do as they wished. Just not ’my cup of tea’, but I’ve scored it objectively!

500ml bottle from Sainsbury - Orange gold with a white head that disappears, leaving a light skim. Negligible citrus aroma, .very juicy citric flavours with a definite lemon-drop sweetness and zesty spiciness. Refreshing mildly bitter finish.

Bottle on the train from Inverness to Hereford, from Tomlinsons, 21/10/13. Lightly hazed golden with a good sized off white head. Nose is toasted malts, grass, bitter orange, citric notes, soft bread dough. Taste comprises bitter orange, grass, bread dough, toasty malts, mandarin, citrus tang. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy finish in the conclusion. Ok GB affair.

Bottle from Sainsbury’s Purley Way. It pours clear golden with a medium white head. The nose is grapefruit, dough, grass and leaf. The taste is crisp, lemon, grapefruit, doughy, hay, straw and grass with a dry, lightly citric finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Crisp and rather drinkable. Decent.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Above description reads bramling cross hops. This bottle reads cascade and amarillo. Golden with a bubbly, lasting, white head. Aroma is soapy lemon. There’s a nice maltiness too, but also a little fustiness going on. Zingy on the palate with a grapefruit bitterness. Dry finish.

Bottle from the Sainsburys award selection. Sainsburys, Bicester, Oxon. Consumed at Little Meadow campsite, Bredon, Worcs, Friday 20th September 2013 It is dark so I am unable to ascertain the colour. Rosey apples sweets in mouth, mmhhh.. definately boiled sweets, actually I get Rhubarb & Custard sweets not Rosey Apples. A little bitterness but a tangy, fruity sweetness also present. This isn’t great in my opinion. Its ok, but just about . A6 A4 T5 P3 Ov11 2.9
