Bottle. A black one, with a small beige head. Roasted malts, some dark chocolate, wood and licorice. It's full bodied and warming, nicely carbonated, sweet, with lots of flavor. Roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee and alcohol. Some licoric e, molasses and raisin. Everlasting finish. Delicious indeed. Wonderful. Fucken hell... this is delicious. 240906

Draft at Ale Arsenal as part of SF Beer Week and Serpents and Stouts. Black with small brown head. Chocolate and vanilla on both the flavor and aroma. Smooth and hides the alcohol well.

On tap @Luppolo Station (Rome). Nera, densa, impenetrabile, schiuma media color cappuccino. Naso caleidoscopico, potenti note di bourbon, malti tostati, caffè, cioccolato fondente, vaniglia, etilico, botte, tabacco, liquirizia. In bocca è molto complessa, rotonda, con attacco dolce cioccolatoso e chiusura amara a bilanciare, caffettosa. Corpo pieno, carbonazione media. Spettacolare.

Black colour. Thick, but with so much alcohol burn that it's not sticky; rich dark chocolate, molasses, some tar aroma, toasted nuts in the finish. Well made, impressively strong, but no elegance, quite brutal.

Poured from 1 pint .9 fl oz bottle. Dark brown with minimal tan head. Vanilla honey and bourbon barrel, gentle roast, very smooth, abv is well hidden (tastes like half that).
