Jul ’14. A 0.5 l bottle that poured golden body with medium sized head. Fine honey malt aroma, although quite grainy, too. Lightly sweet flavor, honey malt keeps dominating over herbal hops. Medium to thin bodied, rather smooth mouthfeel, with a bit sweet malt and bitter hops finish that blend nicely in this stage. Okay for a summer thirst quencher, not bad, although nothing special indeed.

Canned, 500 ml, from supermarket in Prague. Pours clear golden with short lasting small white head. Malty aroma. Malty sweet, corny, light bodied, watery. Boring.

Bottle 0,5l. Sweet malty aroma, seems fruity. Smooth, light flavor, sweet maltiness, white bread tones. Moderate bitterness, bitter aftertaste. Good one.

Bohemian Pilsener now owned by SAB Miller, an ominous sign. Off-white, regular head, colour clear golden blonde. Grainy aroma with a corn-like sweetness, raw cauliflower, sulphur, flowery hops. Neutral onset, rounded and smooth mouthfeel, grainy, mineral-like, bit whisky-like finish (though not in the alcohol sense of the word, just the basic taste) with faint flowery hops; watery mouthfeel. Shame on you SAB Miller, this is a near-disgrace for the proud Czech Pilsener culture!

Tap at some nondescript cocktail bar in Prague. Poured a crystal clear light amber with a thin white head and a few bubbles. The aroma is sweet malt. The flavour is light bitter sweet with a malt light hop bitter palate. Light bodied with soft carbonation. Uninspiring.

Tap@Earl Ferrers, Streatham - golden pour with puffy white head. Aroma and taste is floral grassy, straw, hay, crisp grainy malts, slightly buttery, refreshing and easy drinking. Liked this.
