bottle, Globus Ceské Budejovice. Clear golden yellow colour, large white head. Hoppy nose. Medium-bodied, pleasantly malty and hoppy, without the expected bitter-sweet character. I can’t find any Saaz hops flavours. The beer itself is quite good, although it definitely lacks this typical Czech character.

Bottled(500ml). –Pale golden coloured, medium sized white head, herbal and light brady nose. Light sweet malty, hoppy and grainy taste with salty bready notes. Medium carbonation and a bit watery palate.

First post RBESG08 tasting at Ogi’s place. Golden colour, lively carbonation. Thick medium sized white head. Honey mingling with some fresh vegetabley-herbal hop in the nose. Some grainy breadiness too. Light honeyish taste, fine enough, with some saazy? dusty herbal hop. Notes of metal. Slightly harsh. Weak but persistent hoppy aftertaste. Had worse.

500ml bottle from Plzen Tesco. Golden lager, thick cream head. I quite like the 5% premium Kozel in Wetherspoons and to be honest this is quite similar. It’s an ok lager, no great flavour, but nothing bad and some hop bite on finish.

Honey yellow color, good white head. Grass, buttery diacetyl and some metal in the nose. Soft, malty beer. Typical Czech butterness (diacetyl) is present - in a good way like in Pilsner Urquell. Bohemian type Saaz-hopping in the finish. Lacks alcoholic kick of 12 plato version, so actually this is even more pleasant session beer. Quality Czech pils.

Draught. Golden colour, nice creamy head. Aroma is mainly malts, hops and some slight hints of fresh grass. Flavour very much the same. Quite pleasant palate though. Not very interesting, but does it’s work a refreshment.

Bottle: Golden coloured, small foamy layer; sweetish-grainy nose with a faint hayish hoppiness; delicate sweetish-bitter flavour; light to non-existant malty base; short malty, a bit papery and bitter finish. A very mediocre czech brew, could be brewed in Germany by InBev........

Big offwhite medium laced head over clear copper body. Acidic, fruity aroma with some hops. Clean, sweetish malty taste, softly chalky mouthfeel. Some grain in the aftertaste, and some bitterness. A decent pilsener.
