7th August 2016: I host a German Wurst BBQ with guests dressed as Egyptians who were asked to bring German beer and wine. My friends all came dressed as Egyptians, but the beers they brought were from all over the place: a 500ml bottle of this being one of them (they only new rate of the day). Poured into a half-litre stein, it was clear golden with a white head. Could have been any one of the lager/pilsner beers available during the day, this did not stand out as anything special or different. Nothing wrong with it, just the same as so many other beers in this style. Refreshing and thirst quenching but ultimately ’bland’ and boring.

Bottle. Color: Light golden, clear, fast disappearing white head. Taste: Medium sweet, greasy / butter, watery. Unpleasant hints of herbs / flowers. Bittersweet finish.

Amber clear with little white head. Aroma is butter, some musty hops, märzen kind of malts. Taste is again butter and some kellerbier notes. Easy to drink but kind of boring.

Tap. Golden color with white head. Buttery aroma, not so many hops. Taste is the same. Soft mouthfeel. Nicely drinkable, but nothing special.

Barwa złota, klarowne, piana biała, dość obfita, ale bez koronki. W aromacie nieco utlenione, słodowe. W smaku nieco wytrawne, lekka słodowość, goryczka średniej mocy, całkiem przyjemna. Treść maksymalnie średnia, wysycenie średnie, podobnie pijalność. Nic specjalnego, da się wypić bez problemu. Przeciętnie z plusem.

0.5l can. Clear golden body, almost immediately disappearing white head. Aroma and taste of grains, metal and spicy hops with some fruity esters. All-in-all a correct everyday beer.
