11/12/2023. Can shared by ITFCDan. From Hopsters, Ipswich. Pours close to black with a small frothy off-white to beige head. Aroma is chocolate, roasted malt, toffee, vanilla, marzipan. Quite sweet with moderate roasted bitterness. Full bodied, thick, soft carbonation. Bitter marzipan finish.

Normally not a fan of pastry stouts. But this one is really nice, chocolatey but not sweet at all. With a hint of almond.

Can, 13.0%. Vinous aroma, some marzipan, CO2 notes. Black colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is very sweet with a mild marzipan note. The alcohol burns a bit but also warms. I generally like Kees beers, but this is an abomination, just like the crazy Swedish cake.

Can. Pours hazy very dark brown with stable tan head. Clear aroma of dried fruit, malt, and chocolate, with touches of yeast. Bitter, roasty flavour with sweet notes of marcipan and chocolate, and touches of dried fruit and lactose. Bitter, roasty aftertaste with notes of barrel and marcipan. Warming alcohol presence. Yummy. Bamsen loves it.
