This is the latest leap in Lagunitas’ never-ending quest for capturing the essence of fresh hops. Contents Under Fresher features whole-cone Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe & Sabro hops harvested and rushed from our family of farmer friends in Yakima. Expressed here in their absolute juiciest form.

From a bottle its clear pale with a big white head. Says it's a 2021 release! WTF? I can't find a date code on this bottle but from the taste I don't think it's from 2021? Anyway, the nose is not as bad as many IPA, it's quite hop flower perfume but in a mild kind of way. The tongue on this is typical IPA, rubbery but the feel is not as viscous as most 7% IPA. Yes, bitter, like chewing on green rotting fermenting grapefruit rinds. At least it has a decent alky kick to it that makes you forget that it's an IPA. So be it; and there you have it. Another typical brutal IPA that doesn't smell like diesel fuel or BO, but still mows over yer taste buds. Long bitter IPA finish, as usual.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and light tropical fruit aroma Grapefruit and lemon flavor with light tropical fruit. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit and lemon linger with light tropical fruit.

The Aromas are an interesting blend of weed, skunk and citrus hops with pancakes. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose with the addition of some sweet with citrus, pot and skunk coming on stronger. Good carbonation body and finish. Nice beer.

Pretty damn spectacular IPA, one of Lagunitas’ best. Rich veins of passion fruit, papaya, grapefruit, lemongrass, mango, and orange zest. Undertones of tangerine, peach, pine, and a little berry. Finishes with a lingering pine bitterness. Just an all-around stellar IPA.

Pours copper with a dense one finger head. The aroma is mainly tropical fruit acccented hops. The flavor is of tropical fruit, some resin, and malt. It’s moderately bitter and sweeter/malt yet than expected. Medium bodied.

12 ounce bottle from Total Wine Broofield, 11/13/21. Hazy amber, thin frothy head, fair retention. Aroma of green, minty, floral hop. Taste is fresh, green hops, floral hops, stone fruit. Juicy, low bitterness. Nice.

Bottle from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours translucent gold with a moderate white head. Aroma of melon, citrus/pine, something green/herb. Malt aroma sort of like SNPA. Med plus body. More than moderately bitter. Prickly. Juicy, but not very sweet. Melon, pine, weed. Very dry and mixed fruit in the finish. Terrific flavor.

Bottle from Livonia Liquor. Pours a clear straw gold with a finger of white foam that lingers. Big pungent citrus, berry and dank aromas. More of the same on the palate. Bright, clean and crisp and very west coast. Lovely!

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy golden, small white head, decent lacing. Aroma is leafy, pine, green tea, pot. Flavor is light sweet, light plus bitter, slightly vegetal. Medium body.
