Pours dark copper from the bottle and leaves a fluffy sand colored head. Aroma is lemon with light undertones of roasted caramel malt and banana. Taste is tart, sour lemon. The sourness carries through into the finish. Refreshing, but too one dimensional in the taste.

Bottle, courtesy of Koelschtrinker, many thanks! Murky brown color with creamy beige head. Aroma is spicy, a special fruitiness in there, caramel. Taste is surprisingly fresh and fruity, but still with a caramel touch, a bit earthy as well. Finishes lieblich and semidry. Surprisingly characterful and good!

Sehr trübes orange braunes Bier mit einer ordentlichen beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch nach reifen Früchten, Karamell, hefig. Geschmack hefig, trocken, Karamell, fruchtig.

* Old rating, 0,5l, best before 21.04.06. Malzig-hefiger Antrunk. Frisch und dunkelmalzig-erdig zugleich. Nicht zu süß, nette Karamellanklänge, weich, röstmalzig-mild mit ganz leichter Herbe. Lecker!

Bottle bought at the brewery. Looks simple but good. Beer in the glass zippy, brownish, nice head. Starts mild but not washy, malty-yeasty, not too dry. Light earthy notes, not too roasty. Finish soft-malty, mild-yeasty. Nice!

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Slightly hazy ambery brown colour, mediumsized foamy beige head. Aroma is toasted malts, some toffee, mild fudge, wheat and some slight yeastyness. Flavour is toffee, wheat, some mild toasted malts, banana as well as some yeastyness. Very smooth carbonation. A Dunkelweizen perfect for my taste.

Bottle. Sweet banana, clove and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy orange-brown color with moderate head. Sweet banana/orange and toffee wheat malt flavor. Nice body. Very good.
