Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Clear amber with a nice fluffy white top. Aroma of caramel, hints of chocolate, hay, quite sweet. Quite sweet and grainy in taste, caramel, a vague stewed fruit, some fustiness and spice from the hops. Medium bodied, light stickiness, fine carbonation. It's one of those beers that grows on you after a while. This one has a reasonable moreish quality.
