Full and rounded like an Indian new moon, this new breed is a modern twist on Indian Pale Ale. Jammed with fruity flavour and tantalising bitterness.

Old rating - A 500ml bottle brought home from Scotland by my wife. Pours dark amber with a white foamy head. Aromas & tastes of citrus, fruits & hops. Light to medium body. Medium bitter finish. Bellow average IPA, again not a bitter as listed.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear, greenish golden with a tiny, fizzy, white head. Sweet malty, slightly caramellish nose. Medium body, again sweet malt and caramel, a hint of hops and some British hops showing in the flavor. Hardly any bitterness though. Very middle-of-the-road? 300919

500ml bottle from a Co-operative store in Kirkwall. A bright golden body, dissipating white head, rings of lace down the glass. Smell of cereal and distant leafy hops. Modest taste profile of leafy hops and grainy malts. Short-lived bittersweet ending. Soft carbonated. Rather thin bodied and slightly anonymous (hotel room at The Shore, Kirkwall 13.04.2016).

Cask at Abbot Cook, Reading. Yellow-amber with a thin white head. Lot of caramel up front with some wee and lots of green leaves, possibly old lettuce. Lasting unpleasant mineral bitterness. There’s some lemon in there too, admittedly, but it’s lonely and feels rather threatened by the other nasty flavours crowding in around it. This is not a nice beer.
