Dark, smooth, delicious. Aromas of worn leather and cool autumn nights. Notes of sweet plum and toasted raisin, hints of coffee and cacao. Lingering tart and refreshing finish. Only available for a few short months. Not to be missed!

A nice funky saison aroma, even funkier than i expected, with some great dark fruit esters. A nice funky flavour loaded with plums, and some apples. Interesting stuff, i like this take on the style.

0.473 l can, canned in October 2021, 4.5% abv, courtesy of fonefan, thanks Jan! Almost clear, ruby with a thin, frothy, almost stable, light beige head. Sweetish, minimally sourish, gently fruity, a little roasty, moderately funky aroma of caramel, chocolate, raisins, red berries and a touch of brett. Slightly sweet, moderately roasty, slightly sour, gently fruity and minimally funky taste of chocolate, caramel, raisins, lemon, redcurrant and hints of brett, followed by a short, slightly tart, moderately dry and a little vinous finish. Medium body, minimally astringent and gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice beer, but liked the pale version better.

Bottle from Hogs Back Brewery shop. Aroma has a light vinous nose and light herbs. Cola brown. Opaque. Thin foamy off-white head. Light-medium sour. Citrus. Vinous edge. Tangy. Herbal finish. Light bodied. Thin but slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Refreshingly sour. Doesn't attempt to drain all moisture from yer mouth. Slips down.
