Lervig’s Jule Bock is a classic Scandinavian style Christmas lager, brewed with caramel malts and a light hoppy touch, this is a real drinker and will hold up well to the richness of your Christmas lunch. A true classic. We like it enough to say its should not just be for Christmas season… but hey that’s what dark beers are suited for these days!

Tap at Beer Hunters. Ruby-brown colour and tiny beige head. Light bready caramel in the nose. Light-bodied. Bready, caramelly, watery as bock. More like Vienna Lager.

Lett. Maltig. Smaker noe bitter brent karamell, mørk sirup og krydder. Kort.

Can from HavnensVinOgTobak. Pours clear dark reddish brown with huge offwhite head. Aroma is malt, caramel, syrup, rye bread and spice. Taste is medium to very sweet, light to medium bitter and faint acidic. Body is light oily with fizzy carbonation. Finish is a bit short and mostly sweet with notes of malt, caramel, brown sugar, figs, raisins, milk, burnt sugar and hints of gravy. Overall a rather weak experience.

Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark red, close to black, but with beautiful reflections and fine brownish foam. Aroma is malty, more towards molasses, plus spices as in mulled wine. Body and carbonation are average. Taste is medium sweet. Final had some sweetness too, could have been less.
