Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers! Aroma of caramel, hints of coffee, dark fruits and vanilla. A bitter, slightly fizzed malty finish. Texture is a bit watery but decent flavour.

Cask at Standing Order, Derby. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a small off-white head. Not much of an aroma – just vaguely caramel. In the mouth it is initially sharp and sour but then becomes quite sweet with liquorice to the fore. Malts and dark fruits are there too, with hints of milky coffee. Finish is sweet and fruity. Quite nice, but a bit strange.
