I’ve got a 75 cl bottle of Practise What You Preach to taste this glorious fall evening. A new quadrupel, life is good. I have the Chimay glass down from the cabinet to receive the pour after removing the cage and cork from the bottle. I see an amber-brown liquid finished by a creamy head of light tan, very fine bubbles. The smell is dried dark fruits, yeast and candy. I take a drink, it gives a surprisingly aggressive hit of sweetness and bitterness, dark plums, black raisins, malt, wheat bread, cherries and yeast. A good representation of the style.
