Tap at Vaso de oro. Black with thick creamy beige head, looks really good. Light coffee, lime, grassy, lots of hops and roasted notes, brown bread, cocoa, dried red fruits. Medium bitter and almost medium sweet. Medium bodied with a bit creamy feel.

4 oz pour on draft at ChurchKey for the Ultimate Spain Craft Beer & Cider Tap Takeover event. Menu at ChurchKey listed this as brewed by a Barracuda Cerveza in Spain but Shelton Brothers web site had the same beers as brewed by Fort Cerveza. Confusing. Black with light tan head. Aromas of dark fruit, herbs, dark chocolate. Tastes of roast, dark chocolate, light pencil. Medium body with a dry finish.

Draught (5,8%) @ Gallows Bird. Aroma is rather fruity with mellow coffee tones. Flavour has grapefruit, some ash, fruit juice, tobacco, licorice and coffee. Close to a black IPA.

--- Beer merged from original tick of Fort Oatmeal Porter on 25 May 2018 at 11:43 - Score: 6
