(Ceramic bottle 50 cl) Hazy, orangey golden with an almost non-existing head. Fairly tart aroma. Medium body, distinctly sweet’n’sour malt accents and some fruit. Very sour finish. 090507

Swing top bottle: Pored a hazy dark orange with fast dissipating white head. Sweet fruity aroma. Sour tingly fruit with a dry alcohol finish.

LCRBM2. Hazy copper colour with no head. Some nice orange fruit. Some hop. Harsh alcohol, but the sweet fruit it great. Wow the alcohol heat is really strong.

Bottled. Hazy yellow, golden body with nice white head. Strange aroma, I thought of light burned skin from barbequed fish? Also some hint of smoked malt taste. Some alcohol flavour, but surprisingly little for a beer at 13% alcohol. A warming well-balanced mouthfeel.

Bottled. Light hazy, golden-orange beer with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, almost stock-like, with maltyness and alcohol. Flavor has sweet malt, beef stock and some acidity. Sweet, full body and a warming feeling. Balanced beer at 13% ABV. (060224)

Very little head or carbonation; orange to reddish tinted amber beer(actually, once the little head is gone, it looks like brandy for all the world). Alcoholic nose, apricot or peach brandy, puff pastry and some caramel. Sweet and orange taste, as preserved oranges on brandy, Mandarine Napoléon. Something meaty and smoked in the background. Warming up, it develops a character of blue cheese. Nothing of the usual Weizen - not even Weizenbock - characteristics. There is a little - citrussy - pinch of acidity that just prevents it of becoming too sickly syrupy. Slick MF all the same, very heavy, oily body. Again, a rather special beer, rather nice if intimidating. But the price was astronomical.

A hazy amber beer with no head. The aroma is dominated by alcohol, but also has notes of fruit especially oranges. The flavor is sweet and totally dominated by alcohol, which lends it a powerful body.
