250 ml can. Pours black with full foamy tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate, oak and roasted malts. Flavors of strong oaky bourbon, black coffee, bitter dark chocolate and roasted malts. A bit strong on the barrel this year…

[Vintage 2021] 500mL bottle. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma has roasted malts, espresso, and a ton of smoky bourbon. Flavour has rich roasted malts, dark chocolate, espresso, all wrapped in nice smoky bourbon. Deep and rich, lots of good roast and well-complemented with bourbon. Excellent.

65 cl bottle (10,3%) @ Antitasting Vintage 2019 Aroma is somewhat mild with licorice and salmiac. Flavour has salmiac, licorice, herbal tones and mild coffee notes. Too salty for my taste.

Bouteille(11.6%, 650ml, vendange 2012, merci joss!): Literally black - what else? - with a small tanned and stable layer, robust bitter-sweet aroma of roasted malt, coffee, chocolate with traces of tobacco(?), vanilla and mild wood in the background; solid - as expected - sweet-bitter flavour, full bodied and astonishingly soft; lingering sweet-bitter fruity-roasty finish with wanilla and vood and a warming port-vinous finish. A very pleasant night-cap...

Thnx to Dr. Beer. Pours Black, not-so-stable off white, small head. Smell is roasted, complex dark sugars, mild coffee-like roasty undertone. Taste is mildly bitter, very burnt, roasty, very, very distant barrel features, they build up a bit as the beer warms up. Some bourbon, mild vanilla. Bit of oxidation.

Totally oily black. No head. Smells like a marshmallow and vanilla pudding aroma. Very toasty with burnt oak and brownies. A bit of phenol finish. Toasty and crisp. Cocoa, vanilla. I get some banana and cream at the finish
