Amber with a fleeting, foamy head and visible floaters. Yeasty aroma, peppercorns, metal. Taste is bitter with sweet undertones. Moderate bitter finish that trends both peppery and metallic. Lingering touch of apple tartness. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Mediocre Tripel.

Cask days 2011.
Wonderful yeasty, fruity aroma. Light bready malts, with some tangy tropical fruits. Slightly high carb, mouthfeel was a little over active. Dry finish, light fruity esters, and more bready malts. Great example of the style.

Bottled@SBWF2014. Golden colour with a small white head. Aroma is floral, some funky tones with mild green apple skin and peach. Flavour is peach, funk, some zesty tones with mild spices and a wee bit of alcohol. Still it hides the 10 % abv really well.

Decent tripel. Pretty boozy, less refined or fragrant than the best.

Clear dark blond beer, small creamy irregular off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: spicy, bit smoky, pretty peculiar, ginger bread, orange peel, oxidized. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: lots of orange peel, bit oxidized, sweet touch, lots of yeast. Aftertaste: bit spicy, dry, touch oxidized, orange peel.

Medium dark amber color. Massive bretty barnyard nose with apricot crumble in the nose. Very dry and tart. Full body with tons of bretty, apricot crumble and oak. Very balanced alcohol well hidden for 10%. Dry. Very nice stuff.

Bottle picked up from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, nr Gent, Belgium, consumed at home Saturday 25th November 2017 whilst Mince and Cheese Pies and also Rhubarb, Blueberry and Strawberry Shortcake Pie ( both from Pie book) Pours hazy warm gold with a white head. The brett comes across straight away on the nose, it's a Tripel alright but wow it's a funky mother and quite the beer to drink whilst listening to Craig Charles funk and soul show. Tangy, fruity a great beer. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9
