This year's harvest of Kazbek hops got us stunned. Kazbek is a hybrid between Czech Saaz, English Northern Brewer and wild hops from Russian part of Caucasian mountains. A hop that dates back to 1984 coined as the first Chech aroma hop provides our lager with elegant tones of citrus and forest berries.

(Can, 0.44 l - canned on 11.10.2022 - BB 15.10.2022, at Pien Shop, thanks tonagi, 20220303) The beer poured amber and nearly clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, grain and malts. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, grain, malts, biscuits and bitterness. Aftertaste was grassy, malty and bitter. A pleasant and balanced brew with clean flavours.

500ml Can - Hazy golden/light amber. Floral and slightly herbal aroma with notes of nettles, hop resins, citrus and a hint of strawberry. Herbal and fairly bitter taste with notes of bubblegum, citrus, hop resins and hints of grapefruit and orange. Really enjoyable and shows the green qualities of Kazbek well. The finish is rather herbal.
