Can from Good Spirits, Glasgow. Black with no head. Perhaps not the most stated of stouts but there's enough here, especially in its aftertaste where its chocolate does linger long. Before that its aroma and to an extent taste has some hoppiness and floralness about it.

18/5/2022. Can from Hopsters, Felixstowe. Opened with a gush. Pours almost black with a small frothy beige head. Good looking beer. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruits, berries, light spice. Moderate sweetness, light roasted bitterness, touch of tart. Moderate body, slightly oily, average carbonation.

440ml can Sophie's Beer Store. Pours a very dark brown, frothy beige head. Aroma is quite fruity, almost jammy. Light-bodied with a soft palate, really took me by surprise as expected a somewhat rich, chocolatey stout, grainy perhaps? But this comes across like a fruity amber with no discernible stout aspects at all, and no chocolate notes. If I was served it on draft I'd be certain I was poured the wrong beer. Odd.

Nearly opaque beer, dark with a decent off white head. Decent malty chocolate smell. Flavour has toasty malt, a little dark chocolate, some vanilla. Simple but strong flavours. A little more body would go a long way in this but it's nice.
