“Munich Gold” closely resembles our Münchner Hell in terms of taste and mainly owes its popularity to a slightly higher original gravity and the malty note. The result is a full-bodied yet mild taste which delivers an increasingly bitter note before culminating into an aromatic finish. A real treat for true beer connoisseurs!
The types of barley grown in the Swabian Jura and in the Upper Palatinate Region of Bavaria are excellently suited for the production of this timeless classic. Hacker-Pschorr has been brewing beer in the traditional Bavarian manner since 1417. The high-quality beers the brewery produces are all brewed in accordance with the Bavarian Purity Law and contain only water, malt and hops.

330ml panda from LCB. Near clear gold with brief fizz. Aroma has a nice light tropical and gooseberry fruitiness with bread and spice. Taste has a clean fruit, grain, bread, light hop spice tingle and some grassiness. Slick body. Mine lacks a crisp carbonation but looking at previous reviews that's not the norm so must be the condition. Good lager.

Des céréales miellées s’invitent au nez avec un fond herbacé. De couleur dorée pale, elle est limpide et se couvre d’une mousse d’épaisseur moyenne qui se maintient assez bien. En bouche, le malt domine avec ses accents de céréales miellées et de pain sucré. L’amertume est douce, herbacée et légèrement épicée. Le corps est rondelet et la carbonatation moyennement douce. En copa pilsen, color oro claro, limpio y transparente, espuma blanca de buena retención. Aroma a granos de cereal y malta. En boca es ligera mas no acuosa, a pesar de su apariencia tiene cierto cuerpo, moderadamente amarga, con notas de malta, pan y hierba. Sabrosa, refrescante y disfrutable.

Klare gelbe Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malzig getreidiger Geruch. Geschmacklich leicht malzig, getreidig, brotig, leicht hopfig. Mittlere Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, mittlerer Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

A small taste @ the flagship Alko, press blind tasting. Pours clear yellow with a medium head. Aroma is clean grainy malts. Flavor is light clean grainy malts with a hoppy finish. Crisp carbonation. Drinkable.
