14th Jan 2015. Really pleased to see a beer from the IOW here in Shropshire in cask form. Pint, hand-pulled in my local Wetherspoons. Pours a clean mahogany with a creamy textured beige head. Malty from the off, with caramel to the fore in both the nose and taste. Drying finish to this full bodied, deep flavoured brew.

(Cask at Angleterre, 20141122) The beer poured mahogany coloured and clear. Its head was medium sized, white and it lasted long. Aroma had caramel, earth, toffee and malts. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were toffee, caramel, earth, fruitiness and bitterness. Aftertaste had caramel and bitterness. A very sweet brew for a bitter. Still clean and tasty.

Draft at the Great British Beer Festival 2014, Day 3 - London. Pours clear copper-ruby with a frothy beige head. Very nice beer, with good toasted malts, orange rind, wholegrain toast. Light bodied with fine carbonation; great condition. Lovely finish, well balanced, with mild earthy bitterness, more toasted grains, some dried caramel sweetness. Very good stuff.
