Ned's Retro IPA is a malt-forward traditional style English IPA. It's more balanced, round caramelised malt, floral hop character and big mouthfeel all tied together with the addition of English and American Hops.

(bottle, 33cl, 6.5% abv) Clear, deep amber colour with a short and slightly tanned foamy head. Nutty and slightly bready malty aroma with notes of toffee and mildly fruity and herbal hops. Mildly bitter and sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a modest carbonation. Slightly nutty and delicately sugary malty base with notes of caramel/toffee, as well as slightly citric and woody hops; dry-ish bitter-sweet finish with herbal hoppy spots and a tinge of metal. Not a bad Ale, but a bit disappointing for an IPA. 19.VIII.14

Bottle from Terre de Boissons Calais. Clear dark amber lasting beige head. It’s a toffee malty led pale ale. Some vague hops running around in the background. Bitterness on the finish builds. But it’s a harsh metallic bitterness. Not a good beer.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of yeast and hops, with touches of malt. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with sweet notes of fruit, malt and caramel, ending dry. Not a typical IPA but drinkable.

Clear amber, small creamy white head. Faint hoppy aroma, spruce bitterness. Not much else. Ok, not memorable. At. All.
