500ml bottle shared with Finn. A bubbly fawn-coloured head, spotty lacing. opaque black body. Roasted malty nose with hints of dark dough. Dark malty flavours with notes of liquorice. Drying roasted malty bitterness to a rather long tail. Medium bodied. Pleasant enough (session in Tromsø 28.07.2016).

Flaske 500ml spandert av Rune. Delt på Nerstranda 28 Jul 16. Svart. Aroma av sjokolade. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken sjokolade med hint av lakris. Myk munnfølelse. Avslutter tørt. I søtligste laget - men bra.

Hyvin tummanruskea, todella reilusti vaahtoava ja runsaasti pitsiä jättävä olut. Tuoksu maltainen ja aavistuksen paahteinen, melko syvä. Maku kevyesti palaneen paahteinen, maltainen ja pitkällä palaneella, kuivan katkeralla jälkimaulla. Suutuntuma on melko täyteläinen ja vahva. Oikein laadukas schwarzbier ja peittoaa kyllä yllättävän selvästi maitokauppavahvuisen pikkuveljensä.

Bottled, thanks oh6gdx! Near black. Generous coffee aroma with hints of red berries. Dryish with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Coffee, toast and some treacle. Some resin ifn the finish.

Bottle 0.5l at home, Nivala. BBE 22.10.2016. Colour is dark brown with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Some chocolate, grain and roasted malts. Sweetness/dryness is pretty good balanced in this one but needs more flavours.

Smell of tar, burnt malt. Very dark brown colour, high brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, some ash, rubber. Some cocoa notes in finish. Medium bitter. Lively and rich carbon. Body is rather robust.

Bottled (from Alko Keskusta, Vaasa). Black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is toasted, mild roasted malts, some liquorice as well as mild burnt wooden notes. Flavour is quite similar with a quite big ashy finish to it. A bit to the watery side as for the palate.

A colablack beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma has coffee and roastiness, some liquirice. Taste has strong roastiness, almost burned, some coffee, also bitterness. Medium bodied, smooth enough, balanced carbonation. Strongly roasted beer, quite tasteful.

Bottled 500ml (Alko)
Deep brown color, small beige head. Aroma has toasted malts, caramel and light veggie notes. Medium-bodied. Toasted malts, ash, some vegetables, somewhat bitter and toasted finish and aftertaste. A bit burned malts too. This one has veggie notes which I don’t like so much. Also a bit too ashy/burned.

(Re-rate, keg at Tankerfest 2019) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, caramel and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, grass, treacle and bitterness. Aftertaste was grassy, burnt and bitter. A tasty and balanced brew with mild burnt notes. Old rating: (Bottle, 0.5 l - BB 22.10.2016, 20160204) The beer poured clear and nearly black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, vanilla, metallicness and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, vanilla, metallicness, ash and bitterness. Aftertaste was burnt and bitter. A decent schwarz except the vanilla; where did it come from? 6-4-5-3-10
