Not all things are as they appear! With the humble beginnings of a Pale Ale, this beer became a “Biere de Garde”, and at one point one would have said it was a Brown Ale. We now call it a “Biere de Sonoma”. This brew is a delightful combination of the aforementioned styles. Sometimes a brew will not find its personality until many batches have been brewed, and this is the story of Perdition. A complex bouquet with mouth filling notes of spice, toasted malt, and citrus make this unique and tasty brew one to enjoy with flavorful dishes.

On tap at the brewpub. A hazy dark golden beer topped by an off-white head. Some dark dried fruits, roasted hints and caramel. Some fresh fruits as well. Lightly sugary flavor, still it’s rather dry on the palate, with caramel and notes of roasted malts. Some grass and bitterness. Full body. Not you’re average biere de garde, but sure nice. 130806

Draught @ the brewpub. Rated on 21.07.2012
Aroma has orange, citron and hints of hay. Flavour is sourish and somewhat tart with hint of bun dough, citron and orange. The flavour differs from the aroma a lot.
