Table Beer. Belgian table beers are typically low abv and enjoyed with meals by both adults and children in Belgium. Erudition is light in color, has a moderate mouth feel and is very dry. Table beers are not traditionally hoppy, but we dry hopped Erudition so some hop bitterness is present.

On tap at the brewery. Aroma has a slight grain note with a bit of a brad and biscuit character. Light hop character, floral and citrus. Moderate ester notes of red apple and pear with some medium light pepper phenolic character. Pours a slightly cloudy, pale, yellow gold with a small, white head that recedes to the edges where it lingers. Moderate lacing and faint legs. Flavor had a faint sweetness with some light grain and biscuit notes and a hint of light caramel. Medium notes of past and over ripe stone fruit with some light red apple character. Medium peppery phenolic character. Light floral and grassy hop notes with a bit of wood. Moderately high bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, an alright Saison but definitely not anything special. I am not a fan of the year character which feels a bit rough on the edges to me.

Golden color with slight white head. Earthy aroma with some citrus and slight spiciness. A little bit of pepper and lemon in taste. Very fresh.

Hazy blond colour. This is rather gassy. Thin light body with a flavour that is a bit too sour and also bready/yeasty.

Bottle @ Dan’s house, courtesy of Steve_0. Thanks! Pours a bit hazy golden appearance with a very nice off white head. White pepper, straw, mild grassy, lightly fruity,a touch funky aroma. A bit tangy, tart, a touch funky, light barnyard, lemon, somewhat spicy flavor. Pretty interesting. Update at RR: good brew.

Tap. Pours clear light amber with a small white head and (predictably) great lacing. Aroma is yeast, lemon, clove. Flavor is strong Belgian yeast, citric bitter with a light lemon peel astringence. Not my favorite.

Draught @ the brewpub. Rated on 21.07.2012
Aroma has some wheat and hay. Flavour is somewhat spicy with bun dough and some wheat. The dough is not nice here, but not bad anyway.

Location: I got to sample some of this from a growler after Nick's wedding

Aroma: The nose is floral, some funk, and citrus and tropical fruits
Appearance: This one has a golden pour with a white head atop it
Flavor: The taste is much like the nose, with funk, hops, and fruit flavors
Palate: The body is medium (plus), somewhat crisp, with a chewiness
Overall Impression: I'm really glad that I got the opportunity to try this one. It was really good. Another winner from Russian River!

On draught at RRBC. Nice crisp sour aroma. Golden orange and hazy with white head showing good lacing. Head lingers, especially collaring. Clean sour taste hides medium-thin mouthfeel. Puckering on the edges. Sweetness of malt is main player besides sour. Minimal spiciness in mid to late palate.
