I’m never one to pass up a house brew but my mind races wondering if I’ll have to dig deeper later on if it’s not in the ratebeer database - luckily this one is, and it shines as an IPA with good flavour and decent head. Well made and well done.

bottle at home, got this from a trade. bottle not very fresh. orange, quite hazy / light cloudy color, big off-white head. lots of carbonation. smells fruity, grapefruit, grainy, light malty sweetness, earthy notes, some grass notes, some spices. medium body, bubbly on the tongue and throat, tastes grainy, grassy, some spices, some very light sour notes, nice hop profile, light to medium bitter finish, aftertaste tastes a bit stale, overall good, quite interesting.

On tap at the Prague Beer Museum (N. Míru), shared with Karlo (huge thanks!). Poured a deep golden body, clear, with a small white head. Starts immediately with a blast of lychee, sweetish, tropical fruit countered with herbal notes (dryish)... superb. Oh man, the tropical fruit (lychee?) note is insanely great and well present in the taste, fruity, juicy, pushes through some OK herbal bitterness. Dunno if this varies that much really, if it improved recently, whatever, but this was possibly the winner of the day, beating Kocour’s Samurai, Matuška’s California (or tied with this one), Apollo Galaxy and Raptor... Yes, THAT good. Awesome job, Permon, hope the quality remains at this level.

(Draught at Prague Beer Museum, Prague, 20 July 2014) Golden amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of apricots, grapefruit, caramel and resiny hops. Fruity, malty taste with grapefruit, apricots, orange peel, toast and fresh citric, resiny hops in a finish with a generous bitterness. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Tasty and well made IPA with a fresh hop character. Nice one.

Decent IPA. Not brilliant, but just tasty and enjoyable. The Czech brewers are catching up.
