First of all, keep the can out of the light, he hates bright light, especially sunlight, it'll kill him. Second, don't give him any imperial stout, not even to drink. But the most important rule, the rule you can never forget, no matter how much he cries, no matter how much he begs, never drink him after midnight.

33cl Can at some beers with Jim Green. Black colour, beige head. Aroma is very sweet, chocolate, milk, ginger, cinnamon, roast, caramel. Flavour is sweet, a bit sugary, milk chocolate, lots of sweet spices, toffee, roast, bittersweet finish. Full bodied. Way too sweet, but still weirdly enjoyable.

Can shared at John’s back tasting. Almost black with dark beige head. Roast, red wine, sweet salty chocolate... balls? Sweet sugary notes, some flavoring. Quite sweet, medium bitter. Full bodied.

330 ml can, Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 10%. Pitch black colour, large tan head. Aroma of roast malts, salty liquorice, coffee and dark chocolate. Very sweet flavour, loads of roast malts, molasses, chocolate, vanilla, salty liquorice, coffee and bittering hops. Too sweet and sticky and also too salty for me. But maybe a beer for you?

On tap at Ølfestivalen Nærbø. A brown to black beer topped by a dark beige head of moderate size. Some lacing. The aroma has licorice and toffee, caramel and roasted malts, coffee, and some dark chocolate, dark rye bread, burnt malts, soy sauce and alcohol. Even a hint of diacetyl. It's full-bodied, sticky and close to cloyingly sweet on the palate, with lots and lots of malty flavors. Licorice, toffee, roasted malts and coffee, with some soy sauce, chocolate and dark bread. And don't forget alcohol and warmth. Lasting finish. Way too sweet this one, but delicious, at least in small amounts. 171021

Oooh, this is lovely. Velvety soft and amazingly smooth. Sweet yet beery, subtly spiced, bit salty. Amazing balance, cinnamon not overpowering like it so often does. Maple shines through, salted caramel, chocolate milk. Exceptional, just a bit thin.
