26th April 2022. Mega tasting with minutemat, pushing our countries, regions and brewery stats higher. Panda from Grumbo. Malty front to this pretty pedestrian Helles, golden bodied, white head and not much aroma or flavour, apart from the aforementioned maltiness.

Sample, thanks to Grumbo, shared with Blackhaddock at our rare country mega-tasting afternoon. Labelled as a marzen on Untappd, but definitely tasting and looking more like a dortmunder. Below average example of the style, fairly bland with a fading sweet malt presence.

Klare gelbe Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger, leicht hopfiger Geruch. Geschmacklich malzig, leicht hopfig, leicht metallisch. Leicht bis mittlere Süße mit leichtet Bitterkeit. leichter Körper mit sanfter Kohlensäure.

Clear straw yellow with a large white frothy head. Decent retention. Aroma: dust, wort, malt, metal. Light body. Taste: sweetish, cereals, faint grassy hop. Low to light bitterness. Not a great lager.

Gift from Rimke and Jur. Golden color, aroma like sunflower oil. Slightly hoppy, just a bit grainy flavor. Hint of orange. Harmless lager.

Bottle. Color: Rather pale clear golden, white head. Aroma: Malty, where is the hop gone? Taste: Same as aroma. A lot of malt, almost no hop. Moderate sweet, light bitterness, bread. Light caramel hints. Just under medium body, average carbonation. Mwah.

Has a golden colour. Aroma and flavour are quite plain. Light malts. Slightly floral.

Bottle 330ml @ Giggi Tenne, Sölden, Austria
Pours clear golden with a white head. Aroma has notes of malt, bread, grass and hay. Taste is medium sweet and light to medium bitter with a long grassy, hay and malty finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.
