Originally Nethergate Best Bitter, this is our oldest recipe first created in 1986. It was showcased in the Cambridge Blue as Dew Drop. It has won many awards in its time, most recently the SIBA Gold Medal for Best Bitter 2014. A Chestnut coloured best bitter, biscuit malt dominates the warm, well-rounded roasted background with a wonderful bitter finish.

(Bottle 50 cl) Neatly clear darkish amber with a fine, creamy head. Looks seem to be this beerโs best feature though, as it hasnโt really got much flavour to offer. Somewhat malty notes, a touch of bitterness and a somewhat metallic edge. Quite ordinary. 290303

A nice amber beer with a very nice head. It doesn't have much aroma. The flavor is slightly sweet and slightly bitter - a little flat. Nice slightly bitter beer, but not so bitter, that I would caracterize it as a bitter.
