Bottle 0,5ltr: Hazy amber colored brew with an mildly bitter taste and there are some banana and bubblegum hints. Fancy bottle and decent Northern German Hefeweizen.

Bottle. Amber color. Pear, banana and soft grassy notes in the aroma. Somewhat weird flavor. Banana, pear, soft herbal notes. Wheaty, sweetish, almost vinou. Not sure about the balance.

0.5 l bottle from local 'Trink & Spare', best before November 2018. Hazy, amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, moderately yeasty-spicy aroma of banana, clove, wheat and hints of bubblegum. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, gently yeasty-spicy and minimally artificial taste of banana, clove, some wheat and traces of bubblegum, followed by a short, moderately bitter, minimally tart, gently yeasty-spicy finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Not the greatest Weizen, pretty over-priced as well. Another disapppointment within the Duckstein range.

Pours dark orange brown from the bottle. The average sized head soon fades, but a thin creamy top lingers for the duration. The aroma goes in the usual directions with the wheat malt and yeasty notes being evident. Banana is also present, but remains relatively subdued. The saphir and perle hops are, according to the label, supposed to play a defining role here. To my nose they remain very much in the background. Perhaps I was expecting too much. The taste is wheat malt, banana, clove. Finish is dry and unremarkable. A fairly conventional Weizen in the end. Still, this is pleasant sipping. No problem drinking more of these. A touch more carbonation would be nice.

Brown colored, cloudy, medium- off white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma is of some wheat, toast, some banana bread, apple, some light clove, other phenolic notes. Taste is medium sweet wheat, candy caramel, bit toast, very light banana bread, apple again, some cloves, very light citric, bready yeasty finish. Medium- bodied, average carbonation, bit creamy. (bottle, Hol’ AB!, Hannover)

Fra flaske, i solveggen på Lofthus Camping mai-16, 4 gentlemen gone beer hunting: uklar lys kobber, ok skum. Lukter silosaft og Karlsons lim. Smaker heldigvis bedre - gule epler, tørkede frukter og banan. Pussige greier.
