Tasting of three single barrel rain shadows (rye, bourbon, scotch) with my brother and girlfriend. Pours dark with little head. Aroma is rich and sweet, raisins, caramel, molasses, lots of dark malts, chocolate, roasted barley. Full body. Malty and sweet, lots of rye, spicy sharp notes in comparison to the other two (especially the bourbon), with rye and intense dark malts, burnt sugar, molasses and chocolate, medium bitterness. Nice, not as smooth as the bourbon and not as complex as the scotch.

(Can, 0.33 l, at Pikkulintu Kontula, 20220809) The beer poured oily and black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, sweet rye bread, wood and vanilla. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, ash, sweet rye bread, wood and bitterness. Aftertaste was woody, burnt and bitter. A delicious burnt brew with balanced barrel notes.

BB 12/2022. black color, small coffee colored head. smells of vanilla, bourbon, rye, marzipan, bitter chocolate, nutty, very nice smell. full body, no carbonation. tastes of whisky, vanilla, nutty, earthy, roasty, bitter chocolate, fudgy, spices. finishes lightly roasty and super balanced with notes of whisky, fudge and some spices. very nice one, great balance, not as sugary as most other stouts nowadays.

Can. It pours a lighlty oily almost black body topped by a dense but minimal sized tan head. The aroma is quite boozy at first, but then some rye malt and caramel starts to show up. Dark rye bread, hints of molasses and coffee, a burnt note and then some more caramel and rye bread. It's full-bodied, sweet and warming, almost sticky, but the alcohol helps it feel smooth. Licorice, dark rye bread, bourbon, oak notes, a touch of vanilla and charred wood, with dark sugar, molasses hints, caramel notes, some coffee and a good dash of alcohol in the flavor. Everlasting finish. Nice indeed, but please don't drink fridge cold. 220129
