Bottle @ home. Dark brown, almost black body under a fine, dense tan head. Strong aroma of moderate roasted, dark malt, hint of chocolate and dry fruit. Taste is smooth, moderate roasted dark malt, some dark chocolate, hint of dry fruit and a wooden touch. Balanced body with long lasting aftertaste. Tasty and really nice, smooth porter. Well made, straight forward, highly enjoyable.

0,33 flaske fra VP Madla, hjemme: brunsvart med fint skum som varer. Mørke karamell- og lakridschokolader, nytraktet kaffe og vanilje. Hint av kakao og urter. Oppløftende i høstmørket, og mersmaken siger innover samtidig som innholdet i glasset langsomt blir borte.

Bottle. It's dark brown to black in the glass, with a small, dense tan head. The aroma is roasted, burnt and full of oatmeal and coffee. Licorice and some soy sauce. There's some citrusy, piney hops too. It's full-bodied, smooth and dry on the palate, nicely carbonated, with a decent bitterness. Roasted malts, some burnt notes, coffee, licorice and dark chocolate in the flavor. Piney, citrusy hops and some soy sauce. Everlasting roasted, burnt finish. Some dark dried fruit. A really pleasant porter indeed. 230412

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 8.6%. Pitch black colour, moderate tan head. Aroma of roast malts, chocolate and mild coffee. Rich flavour with the same elements as the aroma, the coffee notes are now stronger, also distinct notes of bittering hops in the finish, some sweetness and a hint of smoke.

Nydelig konsistens, men litt for mye av den tyngste, mest mørkbrentennalten, og en underlig grønnsaksaktiv svovelprev ved svirvling. Innlysende ambisiøs, men lett utydelig.
