2 February 2019. At Brugs Bierfestival. Cheers to tderoeck, 77ships, Rubin77, Jerre, Kevin & Anke! Hazy brown with a lasting, unstable, frothy, off-white head; lots of lacing. Aroma of plum, banana, cookie dough, toffee, mocha, peanuts, leaves, brioche. Taste is medium malty sweet, quite fruity, notes of raisin & plum, some unripe banana (not overly sweet that is) with an accent of caramel; light herbal bitter middle brings leaves & green tea, forming an autumnal character, supplemented by slight hints of cinnamon & toast. Dry, herbal hoppy finish, lingering green tea, caramel, ripe autumn fruit, a bit toasty. Medium body, slick-oily texture, soft carbonation. Accessible Bock with sufficient depth.

2/II/19 - sample @ Brugs Bierfestival, BB: n/a - (2019-174) Thanks to the Belgian ratebeer crew for sharing todays' beers!
Clear orange beer, big creamy irregular off-white head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: lots of ripe banana, some caramel, sweetish, very malty. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet malts, bit fruity, sourish touch, little bitter, some citrus. Aftertaste: very malty, grains, hay, cow fodder, bitter, malty finish. Meh.

Slow gushing to huge, creamy, amberish to cream-coloured head over dark foxy amber/mahogany beer. Sweet, sweet bread, bit nutty, molasses, autumn leaves. Dry, autumn leaves, but with a sweet, bready flavour following. Faintly burning MF, very slick to oily. Long leafy, even earthy finish and aftertaste, acquiring something as new leather. Moreover, meaty esters and meatgravy based upon a red wine reduction. Good carbonation. Hyper-classical on one hand, and yet surprising complex Doppelbock.

Donker bruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht bitter en licht kruidig met iets van karamel en chocolade.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Clear light brown with an off-white head. Fruity yeasty aroma with some caramel and some faint coffee. Taste is sweet with a metallic finish. Typical Belgian bock.
